Taking acknowledgement the problem with the word "Emerging" since it carries a strong connotation with age and a rate of growth. "Emerging artists" is most commonly described as individuals who are in the early stage of their creative and artistic career. The word is commonly utilised and widely accepted. However, it is essential to acknowledge its limitations and problematic connections associated with the word. The word can fail to capture the complexities and diverse realities of the artist's experiences. However, I have chosen to use the word "Emerging" to dispute its problematic associations since the art world it allows us to consider not established professionals within the art world.
-
There is a potential risk for our painters to be taken advantage of since their stage in their career. We will make sure that the established professionals who we are connecting to our painters have a fair view of the collaborations. Since there is an unbalanced power dynamic between the established professional and the emerging painters, there will always be a risk of exploitation of the painter's work. Therefore, all transactions will go through Bureau Gesso to make sure that the painter is paid fairly.

Bureau Gesso prioritises partnership and collaborations which goes inline with our ethics within the art world. After being apart of the artwork myself, I have experienced and seen professionals who has questionable values and actions. Therefore, the invited established professionals being apart of Bureau Gesso must follow our ethical standards and values. Our aim is to create a mutual space which are offers beneficial relationships that supports success and growth for both the professionals and our painters. Our partnership is deepening one both parties.
